Our Community Educators will present single or multiple-session workshops in classrooms, to community groups, parents, and health professionals. Topics are tailored to meet the age and needs of the audience. Program titles may vary from community to community, but content is consistent. If you are interested in a topic not listed here, let us know. We can usually tailor a program to meet the needs of your audience.

Are you Ready?
Saying "No" isn't always easy especially if you are a teen who wants acceptance. This presentation builds refusal skills and decision-making skills to help young people resist peer pressure.

Am I normal?
Answers "yes!" to this most common question for girls and boys entering puberty, by explaining reproductive anatomy and the physical and emotional changes that occur during puberty.

It's HIP (Health, Information, Prevention)
Reviews and evaluates available birth control methods, including abstinence and the very newest methods.(Teachers: HIP Kits are available for purchase. Contact our Education Dept. for more info. 216-961-8804)

Sexually Transmitted Infections 101
Surveys the most common STI's, their symptoms, treatment, and how to prevent them. Professional trainings are also available on this topic.

HIV 101
What is HIV/AIDS? Takes the audience from common misconceptions to facts about what it is, how it is spread, and how to protect onself. Can be adapted for any age audience.

My Body, My Attitude
Focuses on adolescent girls and the struggles of having a healthy body image and healthy self-esteem. Explores how society interprets beauty and how many forms of today's media set unattainable beauty standards. The interactive presentation encourages young girls to decide for themselves what is beautiful.

Building Healthy Relationships
Teens explore the value of relationships in their lives, discuss dating and communications skills needed to develop healthy relationships. Stresses refusal and negotiation skills, and acceptance of sexual responsibility.

Sexual Orientation/Homophobia
Explores issues around youth and sexual orientation, and promotes tolerance in schools and in the workplace.

Looking for Love
Is there danger in young girls dating older guys? What is a healthy relationship? Emphasize the warning signs of unhealthy relationships, especially relationships between adolescent girls and adult men. For middle or high school students.

What's On
Gives teens a chance to identify how media affects their lives. Teens will get the skills necessary to deconstruct images found in popular TV shows, music and magazines and discuss how they contribute to negative behaviors in sexuality, self-esteem, peer pressure and more.

It's Bigger Than Hip Hop
What better way to reinforce positive messages that enhance relationships, self-esteem and body image, than using the music kids love? Fun and interactive, this presentation is designed for middle school students. (A more critical and analytical version is available for high school.)

Male Reproductive Health
Includes discussion on sexually transmitted diseases, prostate and testicular cancer, men and contraception, and male responsibility in sexual relationships

Midlife Health and Issues
Includes discussion on menopause basics, perimenopausal changes, menopause treatment options and postmenopausal health. We can customize programs to include anything from confirming your menopausal status, physical, physiological and sexual function changes, to prescription and nonprescription treatments and lifestyle changes.

Breast Cancer Prevention and Early Detection
Includes discussion on breast cancer statistics and facts, breast cancer risk factors, early detection and self exams, mammograms, and reducing your risks through lifestyle changes.
