HOT SUMMER NIGHTS: A History of Contraception
On August 13th (2009), the Wooster Community Leadership Council (CLC) hosted a wonderful event at Quailcrest Farms in Wooster. Tara Broderick, PPNEO's President and CEO, warmly welcomed invited guests and prepared the room for the event's keynote speaker. What followed was an interesting, informative presentation about the Hisory of Cntraception given by Jim Edmonson, Chief Curator of the Dittrick Medical History Center's History of Contraception Gallery located at Case Western Reserve University. Jimmy Wilkinson Meyer, PPNEO's own Secretary of the Board who also serves as a Guest Curator at the History of Contraception Gallery, contributed to the discussion by sharing some of her knowledge and research regarding the important grassroots efforts that led to changes in the legalities to obtain contraceptives.
