A note about Parental Consent
At Planned Parenthood, we support healthy family communication about
sexuality and sexual health issues, and will help you get a
conversation going with your kids. We also know that for many young
people, talking with their parents about sexual behavior and sexual
health issues can be difficult or impossible. While we do encourage our younger clients to
involve a parent or another trusted adult in decisions to
use birth control, Ohioans under the age of 18 do not need
parental consent to access sexual health care. Planned Parenthood provides confidential
support and sexual health services for young people without the need
for parental consent.
