With a national organization, 130 affiliates nationwide and many supporting groups, you are sure to see Planned Parenthood's name on more than one request for a donation. All these organizations play a vital role in Planned Parenthood's mission of service and advocacy.
We don't mean to confuse you, so here's the list of "who's who" in the Planned Parenthood family.
Planned Parenthood of Nebraska & Council Bluffs (PPNCB - that's us). We're the local affiliate providing reproductive health care, and education to more than 20,000 women, men, teens and families each year in Lincoln, Omaha, Council Bluffs and the surrounding communities. PPNCB is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization. Contributions are tax-exempt.
Planned Parenthood Voters of Nebraska (Voters) is the politically active arm of Planned Parenthood of Nebraska & Council Bluffs. Voters protects and promotes reproductive health care rights in the political arena on the state and local levels. Voters is a 501(C)4 nonprofit organization. Contributions are not tax-exempt.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is based in New York City and Washington D.C., and supports national and international family planning services and reproductive rights. PPFA is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization. Contributions are tax-exempt.
Planned Parenthood Action Fund is PPFA's political arm that works to impact national legislation. It is a 501(C)4 nonprofit organization. Contributions are not tax-exempt.
