About Us

Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, DC (PPMW) was founded on the visionary idea that access to sexual and reproductive health care could transform people’s lives. For over 80 years, PPMW has provided high quality, supportive reproductive medical care for families in the DC metro area.

Vision
At Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, D.C., we envision a society in which equity is a reality: where every person’s right to dignity, justice, and autonomy is fully recognized and protected; where accessing quality health care doesn’t depend on who you are or where you live; and where our community works together so that every person has the opportunity to lead their healthiest life.

Mission
We provide high-quality, compassionate health care, including reproductive care; promote sexual health; and advocate for reproductive rights and health equity for all.
