Family Life Institute Programs

The Family Life Institute (FLI) is the education department of Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan New Jersey. For over thirty years the FLI has provided educational services in the greater New Jersey metro area.

At the FLI we believe that healthy families are the corner stone of our society. The FLI's belief in this concept is the foundation for what we do. Over the years, our innovative educational programs, events and activities have successfully met the needs of families in our community.

The Family Life Institute addresses the needs of young men and women, parents, teachers and community leaders by offering educational programs tailored specifically for schools, community groups, and religious organizations. We empower individuals in the community by providing reliable and up-to-date information on issues of family life and human sexuality.

Our educators offer in-service workshops that can be custom designed for the needs of individual schools, agencies and community organizations.

The FLI also houses a reference library that contains books, pamphlets, curricula, videos, charts and a variety of teaching aids on all aspects of human sexuality. The reference library is open to the public from 9:00 am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, by appointment only.
