The Promotora Program
The Planned Parenthood of Houston and Southeast Texas Promotora program is committed to serving the Latino community by offering education and accurate information about reproductive health. A Planned Parenthood Promotora can offer in home presentations to groups of 5 or more, or in community settings to larger groups. Presentations are provided by native Spanish-speaking Latinas who are members of Houston’s Latino communities.
Presentations include:
- Male and Female Reproductive System
- Healthy Pregnancies
- Birth Control & Family Planning
- Sexually Transmitted Diseases
- Menstrual Cycle & Menopause
- How to talk to your child about his or her body , puberty & sex
