The Breast Cancer Detection Center of Alaska and Planned Parenthood have partnered to offer Breast Cancer Screenings and Educational Information to women ages 35 to 64.
A licensed mobile medical team will be in Soldotna on July 6 and 7. Increase your chances of early detection by scheduling your annual Breast Exam.
- Besides non-melanoma skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women.
- Breast cancer is the number one cause of death in Hispanic women. It is the second most common cause of cancer death in white, black, Asian/Pacific Islander, and American Indian/Alaskan Native women.
- Breast cancer incidence in women in the United States is 1 in 8 (about 13%)
