Planned Parenthood’s 2009 Annual Luncheon was held on Thursday, January 29 at the Oregon Ballroom in the Oregon Convention Center. With more than 900 supporters in attendance (including a 90-year-old supporter who walked the length of the Oregon Convention Center to attend –now that’s dedication!), PPCW raised $120,000. Keynote speaker Faye Wattleton, co-founder and president of the Center for the Advancement of Women and Planned Parenthood Federation President from 1978-1992, wowed the crowd with her speech about the progress we have made in reproductive health care, the battles currently being fought to protect women and women’s health, and the struggles we will face in the future.
