What should I do if I miss a pill?
- If you miss 1 pill, take one the first day you remember and a second pill that night. No backup methods of birth control are necessary.
- If you miss 2 pills, take two the first day you remember and take two the following day. You need to use a backup method of birth control for two weeks.
- If you miss more than 2 pills, contact the health center closest to you.
Who can come to Planned Parenthood?
Anyone can come to Planned Parenthood. It doesn't matter if you make no money or if you have a high income, you are assured quality and professional reproductive health care.
How much does it cost?
We accept most private insurance plans, as well as Medical Assistance and have a program to help cover the cost of family-planning supplies and services. If you are unable to submit insurance information or do not qualify for an assistance program, we do have a sliding fee scale to help you access the health care you need.
How do I get a pregnancy test?
We offer free pregnancy testing at our health center locations. Simply call the health center closest to you to make an appointment.
Can I get tested for HIV at Planned Parenthood?
We offer confidential HIV testing. The test is administered by health center staff and they will notify you of results when they become available. We also offer counseiling services and information to help keep you make safe and healthy decisions regarding your sexual health.
Will my parents find out?
Planned Parenthood of Bucks County makes every effort to keep information private. If you have any questions regarding or privacy policies and practices, please refer to our HIPAA page. However, we encourage all of our clients to discuss issues such as birth control, STD testing, and HIV with their partner(s) and parent(s), guardian and/or trusted adults.
