Over the last year the public affairs department of Planned Parenthood of Bucks County has worked on two major campaigns, one at the state level and one at the federal level. Here in Pennsylvania, we worked on establishing a minimum standard for comprehensive sexuality education in public schools. The bill is called the Healthy Youth Act .

At the federal level, we worked on health care reform. More specifically we wanted reproductive health care to be a priority, and considered primary and preventative care that should be covered by insurance companies. We needed to ensure that after reform, women would have access to all reproductive health services.
Now that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act passed, what does it mean for YOU?! It is time for the policy to be implemented. Below you will find a couple of links to help you understand health care reform implementaiton:
