Planned Parenthood Advocacy Network (PPAN)

The Planned Parenthood Advocacy Network makes it easy to stay informed about issues affecting sexual and reproductive freedom and to lobby your local and federal elected officials.

There are thousands of email activists in Arizona, and their email actions have had a real impact on public policy in this state. It's important to know that when Arizona legislators are debating or preparing to vote for a bill, most of them check their email while sitting at their desks on the House and Senate floor. Getting a stream of timely and concise email messages before a vote can reinforce a pro-choice legislator or stall one who is anti-choice.

When Governor Napolitano bravely vetoed legislation that would have imposed additional burdens on women seeking abortion services, over 45,000 emails were sent by grateful Arizonans to show their thanks and support. Through PPAN, we are able to send messages to our leaders, telling them that we are aware, concerned and active.

Planned Parenthood Advocacy Network members also get alerts about legislation and activities on the national level. You will receive information and advocacy items about federal legislation, presidential orders and federal court rulings.

Planned Parenthood Advocacy Network members will also receive invitations to Planned Parenthood events and local activities, and learn about new pro-choice resources such as books, movies, radio programs, etc.
