VOX: Voices for Planned Parenthood on Your Campus

Vox is the Latin word for "voice" and Vox: Voices for Planned Parenthood is a nationwide program to energize and mobilize the new generation of pro-choice Americans. Vox aims to educate and inspire a new generation of young adults to advocate for sexual and reproductive freedom.

Arizona Vox members are currently active at the Univeristy of Arizona (U of A) in Tucson, Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe, and Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff. In addition to regular meetings and get-togethers, the Vox chapters sponsor programs featuring local and national speakers, distribute critical health information to students and educate fellow students on the issues impacting sexual and reproductive freedom.

Through Vox fundraisers, 25 ASU members were able to attend the national March for Women's Lives in Washington, D.C. in 2004 at no cost and marched with Vox students from around the country. Every year, Vox groups hold fun educational and social events and are the pro-choice voices on their campus.

Please contact Emily Jean Herrell at (520) 784-5813 or eherrell@ppaz.org to get involved, for information on a local Vox chapter or for assistance in starting a Vox chapter on your campus.
