Question: How many Texans support funding for family planning? Answer: 80%, according to a Texas Poll survey.
Question: Did the Texas Legislature increase or cut funding for family planning last session? Answer: Texas legislators made devastating funding cuts to family planning, displacing more than 5,000 clients from care here in Austin alone.
Question: What is Planned Parenthood’s Lobby Day?
Answer: Lobby Day, on Wednesday, February 28th 2007, brought together hundreds of pro-choice volunteers from all over Texas. Volunteers met legislators (or members of their staff) face-to-face at the Capitol, and shared Planned Parenthood’s legislative priorities with them. Planned Parenthood supporters told our elected officials about the vital health care services that our clinics provide, as well as other issues important to Texas families.
