Planned Parenthood’s staff of trained sexuality educators provide medically accurate, effective, and engaging programs and presentations designed to help Austin families make informed, responsible choices regarding their sexuality and sexual health. Our audiences include schools, colleges, faith-based organizations, PTAs, groups of parents, criminal justice settings, shelters, and other nonprofit organizations. Each presentation is based on curriculum designed to meet the needs of the participants, and new topics can be added as needed. Are you daunted by the idea of talking to your children about their sexual health and choices? You should know: Teens consistently report that they would prefer to get information about sex from their parents rather than any other source. So start talking. Keep talking. Learn how with Planned Parenthood.
Our educators offer workshops throughout the year for teens and young adults to foster informed and responsible decision-making about sex. We also work to train youth peer educators who interact with their communities and share factual information related to healthy teen sexuality.
