Services are confidential at our health centers, regardless of the client's age. Parental consent is not needed, but we do encourage teens to let their parents know what's going on in their lives, including their visit to Planned Parenthood.
Teens may receive birth control, STD testing and treatment, reproductive health exams and all other services at our centers.
Emergency contraception (the morning-after pill) is available over-the-counter for females and males ages 17 and older. Females younger than 17 years old will need to have a brief health history taken which will be reviewed by a clinician. No physical exam is required. Currently, emergency contraception is $35 for one pack at our Planned Parenthood centers.
We report all cases of suspected child abuse as required by law.
