Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood is a safe place to find out about birth control, HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, Pap tests, safer sex, healthy relationships, free condoms and more. 

Our professional staff will encourage you to ask questions and will do their best to give you all the information you need to make informed decisions about your health. If you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come to our health center. Walk-ins will no longer be accepted, please call us to schedule an appointment. Support people are not allowed in the health center. EC is still available at the front desk at no cost.

Services By Appointment

Most patients who come to UHPP for services call first to make an appointment. Be sure when you call to let us know if you have an urgent problem, so we can try to schedule you as soon as possible by calling 518.434.5678 or make an appointment online now.

Walk-In Services (Teen Clinic is BACK)

UHPP relaunched our Teen Clinic in all three health centers. Hudson and Albany Teen Clinic run 3:30 to 5:30 pm Thursdays, and Troy from 3:30 to 5:30 pm on Wednesdays. Click here to learn more!

How Do I Pay For Services?
Most teens are eligible for coverage under the Family Planning Benefit Program, free insurance that covers all birth control methods, annual exams and pap smears, and even testing and treatment services as part of a birth control visit. If eligible, you can sign up and start using your coverage on the same day. 

Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood (UHPP) accepts a wide range of health insurances. For those who don't have health insurance or can't enroll (with our help), we offer family planning services on a sliding scale, based on income. In these cases, UHPP accepts cash, or credit card for payment of services. Most young patients qualify for financial assistance.     Under New York State law, minors can give informed consent and receive confidential services without parental notification or consent.

    UHPP encourages minors to include a parent or another responsible adult in decision making regarding their sexual health and choices surrounding unintended pregnancies. Please inform staff if you are concerned about confidentiality, so we can make necessary arrangements to notify you of test results or billing information.
