Free community HIV counseling and testing provides many benefits to our community. Men and women who know their HIV status can better protect themselves and their partners from the virus that causes AIDS. Early and frequent testing for HIV also allows HIV-positive individuals to begin viral suppressive treatments sooner, which can let lead longer and healthier lives.
GetWell Community Clinic is a valued partner in PPGMR’s community HIV testing and prevention program. PPGMR provides free rapid HIV testing at the clinic each Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The testing is available to the general public as well as GetWell’s regular patients.
Rapid HIV testing is also both available and free every day for both men and women at Planned Parenthood's Health Center at 2430 Poplar Avenue. No appointment is ever needed! Call (901) 725-1717 for information.
