MEMPHIS, TN — As a part of National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month, Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region is planning a special day of activities, learning opportunities and Q&A for teenagers on May 22, 2012 at 2430 Poplar Avenue.

What: “Teen Clinic” information sessions
When: Tuesday, May 22, 2012, 9am-5pm
Where: Planned Parenthood, 2430 Poplar Avenue, 1 block west of Hollywood

The “Teen Clinic” is a chance for adolescents aged 13-18 to learn about puberty, pregnancy, contraceptive methods and sexually transmitted disease prevention from Planned Parenthood’s highly trained sexual health educators.

Individual teens, teens with their parents, youth groups and church groups are all welcome anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Groups of ten or more, please call ahead: (901) 725-3014.

Planned Parenthood believes that all teens need accurate, non-judgmental information in order to understand their own bodies and make responsible decisions. Our educators always advise young people to involve their parents in decisions about sexual behavior.

Most of Planned Parenthood’s preventative health care services, including annual exams and a wide range of birth control methods are available at little or no cost to teens age 18 and under. For more information about Planned Parenthood’s services, visit our website at www.ppgmr.org.
