Missouri Gov. Parson’s Department of Health & Senior Services misused a regulatory process in an attempt to ban abortion outright in the state. The fate of abortion access in Missouri now hangs in the balance as we wait for the court.

The 22nd Circuit Court in St. Louis released an order preventing the state from discriminating against Planned Parenthood patients who rely on publicly funded health care programs.

Annual Condom Crawl highlights growing syphilis epidemic

It might sound dramatic, but communities across Missouri have seen a surge in sexually transmitted infections (STIs) over the past several years, including the number of syphilis cases statewide growing by more than 200% since 2015.

April is STI Awareness Month, and Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri (PPSLRSWMO) is hosting its annual Condom Crawl Friday, April 12.

Planned Parenthood, which has had a long presence in the Joplin community, expands service hours to ensure area patients still have a place to receive affordable reproductive, sexual and preventive health care.
