Center Manager:

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate and committed to women’s healthcare and thrives in managing and growing health centers dealing with reproductive health care.  If you have practice management/medical office management experience or healthcare program supervisory experience and enjoy working with a diverse population in a fast-paced, high volume, family planning center, the role of Center Manager at our Northeast Philadelphia Health Center may be the right choice for you.

The Center Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our reproductive health center, is part of the Patient Services Management team, and is responsible for enhancing, developing, implementing, and improving systems to ensure high quality healthcare and excellent customer service for patients.  All Center Managers are expected to become members of the service delivery team.

Successful candidates must have excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills; must be able to manage effectively in a high volume environment; have the ability to intervene in crisis situations; have the ability to manage and oversee budget with proven results in productivity and revenue improvements; and must be willing to work flexible hours including some evenings and Saturdays.  Occasional travel to other locations may be necessary.  Medical office (practice management) experience or health care management experience are required and a background in reproductive healthcare is preferred.

Health Center Assistant:

Nursing Coordinator for Centralized Follow-Up:

This full-time position of 35 hours/week will be responsible to review clinical lab results in Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to identify abnormal lab results; perform timely and accurate follow-up with PPSP patients (family planning and abortion); create and manage patient care plans per PPSP’s Policy and Procedure Manual; educate and support patients with medical information and referrals, largely by telephone; and coordinate closely with staff in Patient Services Administration and the health centers to ensure high-quality care and an excellent patient experience. 

The Nursing Coordinator must possess strong organizational skills and excel in customer service.  The successful candidate must possess: excellent written/oral communication skills with ability to collaborate closely with all levels of personnel in various disciplines; ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment and problem-solving skills in the decision-making process; ability to relate to persons of diverse backgrounds and educate them on a range of matters, both clinical and financial (the latter related to patient financial responsibility for abnormal pap follow-up); the demonstrated ability to work well independently and as a part of a team, to juggle multiple priorities; and have experience with NextGen (EPM and EHR), and Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.

Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania with a minimum of an Associate’s degree from an accredited school of nursing and experience with NextGen or highly-similar Electronic Health Records (EHR) system is required.  Gynecological clinical experience and Planned Parenthood experience highly preferred.

Surgical Nurse:

The Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients in compliance with overall PPSP mission, goals, and in compliance with federal, state and PPFA regulations.  In addition, this position is also responsible for providing nursing care to patients during procedures and in the recovery area.

This position requires a candidate with an RN Degree, BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications, and with OB/GYN or emergency room experience preferred; working knowledge of contraceptive technology required; demonstrated ability to relate to persons of diverse background and ability to communicate effectively with clients; previous experience interviewing and educating patients; ability to intervene in crisis situations, and demonstrated ability to effectively manage a medical emergency.  Must be willing to work Saturdays.  Part-time, benefits eligible position is available in Center City.
