Center Manager:

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate and committed to women’s healthcare and thrives in managing and growing health centers dealing with reproductive health care.  If you have practice management/medical office management experience or healthcare program supervisory experience and enjoy working with a diverse population in a fast paced, high volume, family planning center, the role of Center Manager at our Media, Delaware County, Health Center may be the right choice for you.

The Center Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our reproductive health center, is part of the Patient Services Management team, and is responsible for enhancing, developing, implementing, and improving systems to ensure high quality healthcare and excellent customer service for patients.  All Center Managers are expected to become members of the service delivery team.

Successful candidates must have excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills; must be able to manage effectively in a high volume environment; have the ability to intervene in crisis situations; have the ability to manage and oversee budget with proven results in productivity and revenue improvements; and must be willing to work flexible hours including some evenings and Saturdays.  Occasional travel to other locations may be necessary.  Medical office (practice management) experience or health care management experience are required and a background in reproductive healthcare is preferred.

Clinical Research Coordinator/Intern Supervisor:

If you are passionate about reproductive healthcare and clinical research and want to make your mark in a mission-based environment, consider joining Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania (PPSP) as our Clinical Research Coordinator/Intern Supervisor.  

You will recruit, train, and supervise a team of undergraduate and graduate interns and volunteers to support the goals of PPSP’s clinical research program.  You are directly responsible for clinical research functions including enrollment of subjects; collection and processing of specimens; completion of source documentation and CRFs; and data entry.  You will support program managers with monitor visits, IRB submissions, budgets and invoicing.

Candidates must have a Master’s degree and prior research and supervisory experience is preferred.  Candidate must also have the ability to oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously, be able to work with diverse populations in a healthcare setting, be able to accommodate a flexible schedule (including evenings and Saturdays), be able to travel to PPSP sites throughout the four-county service area, be a self-motivated achiever, be able to work independently, and have proven ability to interact successfully with internal and external constituents.  Excellent communication, documentation, follow-up, interpersonal, organization, and time management skills are required to be successful in this position.

Clinical Research Operations Manager:

If you are passionate about reproductive healthcare and clinical research and want to make your mark in a mission-based environment, consider joining Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania as our Clinical Research Operations Manager.  You will plan, implement and supervise all day-to-day research operations to ensure compliance with study protocols and regulatory policies, and reach ambitious quality, productivity and budgetary performance goals.  You will hire, train and supervise staff, coordinate with study sponsors, oversee and participate in the recruitment and enrollment of study subjects and develop and deliver study materials and regulatory documents.   

Candidates must have a Master’s degree and three-plus years of clinical research experience (or a Bachelor’s degree with five-plus years of increasingly responsible experience in clinical research).  Excellent organizational skills and research-related technical abilities (including EDC and IRB submissions are required, and supervision experience is a strong plus).

Coding/Reimbursement Specialist:

Consider joining Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania (PPSP) as our Coding/Reimbursement Specialist.  This position will lead all coding and compliance efforts for PPSP’s revenue cycle and perform regular compliance audits; lead or direct the work of Billing Specialists; provide training for health center and billing staff on coding and compliance; perform all collection functions for selected payer groups/financial classes; and perform all billing, verification, and collection functions, as needed.

Candidates must have an Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; CPC certification; and 3-5 years’ experience in medical revenue cycle, billing, coding and A/R management.  Must have the ability to handle confidential materials relating to a variety of individuals; thrive in a fast-paced environment; work independently to include handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously; and work with multiple departments to provide training and expertise.  Excellent communication, documentation, follow-up, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills also required.

Security Officer

The part-time Security Officer would work at our centers in Center City and Far Northeast Philadelphia; Norristown, Montgomery County; and West Chester, Chester County.  The Security Officer will provide a secure environment as well as a warm, friendly, and professional welcome to all staff, patients and visitors.  Other duties may include monitoring the entrance to buildings at all times, monitoring other centers as needed during business hours, screening all persons and packages entering the buildings, and, in conjunction with the Director of Facilities, may develop and implement practices and procedures for the safety and security of all PPSP facilities and events.

This position requires flexible hours, includes work on evenings and Saturdays, and requires ability to travel to other PPSP sites as needed.  Must be certified under PA Act 235. High School Diploma and a minimum of five years experience in security/law enforcement required; health care security experience desirable. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Surgical Nurse:

The Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible to provide excellent customer service to patients in compliance with overall PPSP mission, goals, and in compliance with federal, state and PPFA regulations.  In addition, this position is also responsible to provide nursing care to patients during procedures and in the recovery area.

This position requires a candidate with an RN Degree, BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications, and with OB/GYN or emergency room experience preferred; working knowledge of contraceptive technology required; demonstrated ability to relate to persons of diverse background and ability to communicate effectively with clients; previous experience interviewing and educating patients; ability to intervene in crisis situations, and demonstrated ability to effectively manage a medical emergency.  Must be willing to work Saturdays.  Part-time, benefits eligible position is available in Center City.

Training Coordinator

If you are passionate about reproductive healthcare and training and want to make your mark in a mission-based environment, consider joining Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania (PPSP) as our Training Coordinator.

You will work in collaboration with and under the general supervision of the Director of Risk-Quality Management and Training.  You will design and deliver an affiliate-wide training program for licensed and non-licensed patient-facing staff, to ensure standardized compliance with best practices in the patient experience.  You will also be responsible to develop, coordinate, and support systems to deliver, monitor, and continuously improve training for new hires as well as advanced and refresher trainings for current employees; and work closely with managers to ensure that training programs are well-integrated with and responsive to agency goals and department operations.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three to five years of professional experience in a training and/or administrative role in health care; demonstrated experience in developing, delivering, evaluating, and managing large-scale training programs; thorough knowledge of reproductive health care/family planning; be able to travel to PPSP sites throughout the four-county service area, be a self-motivated achiever, have the drive and ability to think out of the box to develop systems and roles; the ability to set strategic and tactical goals; and be able to work independently.  In addition, the successful candidate must have proven ability to communicate and interact clearly with all levels of personnel, in writing and orally; possess superior leadership and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service; and the ability to learn and use various computer applications, including web-based meeting and training systems.  Planned Parenthood experience is strongly preferred.
