I know what you’re thinking.  Planned Parenthood is just for women, right?  Wrong.  Planned Parenthood is the leading provider of reproductive health care for women, men and teens.  That means that vasectomies are a natural extension of the birth control work we already provide.  If you want to enjoy having sex without causing pregnancy, in addition to other benefits a vasectomy can provide, this might be the right option for you.

Who gets vasectomies? Vasectomies are a great choice for a man who knows he doesn’t want to have children, or who already has the number of children he desires.  It’s a permanent form of birth control where the vas deferens are closed, preventing sperm from leaving a man’s body. Vasectomies are highly safeeffective and less invasive than female sterilization. Oh and did I mention it’s an outpatient procedure?  It might involve a little advance preparation like filling the fridge with your favorite snacks and making sure your DVR is filled up with your favorite shows or basketball games.

Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida provides vasectomies at our Wellington Health Center and brand new Golden Glades Health Center (opening soon).  Click here for more information on vasectomies or call one of the health centers above to make an appointment.
