In-Person and Telehealth Visits

Medication Abortion Care

Mental health care is available via Integrated Behavioral Health and is available to existing PPMT patients

Can I still get an abortion in Montana?

Yes. Abortion is legal in Montana. Please visit our abortion care page for more information on your options.

What services can I receive via Telehealth?

Planned Parenthood of Montana offers the following care via telehealth:

  • Medication abortion services
  • Procedural abortion referrals
  • Gender affirming hormone replacement therapy
  • Birth Control (patch, pill, and vaginal ring) and birth control education
  • Bacterial vaginosis treatment
  • STI screenings for chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, syphilis, and trichomoniasis.
  • PrEP and PEP care and HIV treatment referrals
  • Emergency contraception (morning after pill)
  • Sexual and safer sex education
  • Primary care including cancer screening education, smoking cessation, and care for anxiety, depression, and mental health.
How do you make an appointment for Telehealth?

How do I connect with the provider?

Teladoc and MyChart are our video chat tools.

You will be required to register for MyChart in order to complete your telehealth appointment. A registration link will be sent to the email address you provided while scheduling your appointment within one hour of your appointment time if not sooner. Follow the steps in the email message to begin the registration process. You can access MyChart via the web or a mobile app, and it is recommended that you download the MyChart app if you are using a mobile device.

Please allow at least 15 minutes before your appointment start time to complete the eCheck-In process. You will not be able to access your telehealth appointment until the eCheck-In process is completed. After starting your telehealth video visit, MyChart will refer you to Teladoc for your telehealth appointment.

Will I have to expose myself on camera during my telehealth visit?
 

No, you will not have to expose yourself on camera. Many visits can be addressed with simple questions and answers. If your provider needs more information to provide your care, they will let you know during your telehealth visit so you can decide how you want to continue.

Is insurance accepted?

Yes, we accept many insurance plans including Montana Medicaid. Please bring your insurance card with you to your appointment.

What if I don't have insurance?

If you do not have insurance, please visit https://apply.mt.gov/ to determine if you are eligible for insurance through the State of Montana. We also offer an income-based sliding fee scale for patients for family planning services.

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?

Please bring a photo ID and your insurance card, if applicable. Please read the appointment-specific notes above for your visit type.

What if I have trouble connecting to my appointment, what should I do?

First, check your WIFI/Data connection. If you're still having issues connecting, call (406)443-7676.
