Volunteer Coordinator - Responsible for the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteer staff.  Works directly with volunteers in all aspects of planning, and organizing, to support the needs of clients and the program. 

  • Assist in coordination of volunteer coverage of 24-hour Crisis Hotline, to include evenings and weekends
  • Coordinate multicounty events related to crime victim awareness including crime victims’ week and sexual assault awareness month. 
  • Attend court hearings when possible and track court dates. 

Education with minimum of Bachelor’s degree in the field of specialization such as social work, psychology, counseling or women’s studies. Professional experience sufficient in scope, depth, and performance may serve in place of academic requirements. Ability to communicate and work with individuals from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.

  • Valid NYS Driver’s License with use of personal vehicle is required
  • Ability to travel is required.
  • Flexible schedule necessary.
  • May be required to work evenings and/or weekends.
