The Revenue Cycle Manager will manage the daily operations and strategic objectives of the Agency’s revenue cycle through design, implementation, maintenance and management of all revenue cycle business functions and procedures for the revenue cycle collection process. This position will provide management and coordination of the organization’s revenue cycle and industry matrices including billing functionality, technology (including interface between the electronic practice management (EPM) and electronic health records systems (EHR), and service components determined by strategic and annual work plan goals. The Revenue Cycle Manager will identify and evaluate opportunities for new revenue sources and identify lost revenue through analysis of revenue cycle metrics, strategic partnerships and business development and provide day-to-day and strategic revenue related oversight of long-term and short-term programs in the health centers, health information technology and changes related to health care reform.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or a related field with a minimum of five years’ experience managing a medical billing and revenue cycle operation. Master’s degree preferred. Three years of this experience must include supervision of medical billing staff. Experience should demonstrate knowledge of: third-party payer contracts, Medicaid reimbursement, provider enrollment and compliance and electronic practice management and electronic health records systems and CPT-4 and ICD 9 and 10 coding requirements and OMIG billing compliance and all other carrier guidelines. Athena Health Software experience is a plus.

This position requires knowledge of; Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; automated financial and accounting systems; federal and state financial regulations; short and long term budgeting and forecasting; and government contracts. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, health care management or a related field and seven years of mid-level management experience in a health service agency in at least two of the following areas: financial management, accounting and/or grants development.
