Medical Assistant/Clinic Manager (part-time)

Planned Parenthood of Hawaii is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for our Maui Clinic with extensive managerial experience in a clinical setting. Duties include: efficient scheduling of all clinic staff as well as client scheduling; fiscal control; overseeing clinic administration and operation according to agency policy; taking vitals, lab work, patient education/counseling, assisting with procedures, etc. Must have medical experience, outstanding work ethic, enjoy a fast paced work environment and contribute positive energy to an outstanding team. Nurse Practitioner (Kailua-Kona)

Planned Parenthood of Hawaii is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for our Kailua-Kona Clinic on the Big Island for 32 hours/week. The individual must be a Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii and have successful completion of a Certified Nurse Practitioner program, preferably OB/Gyn or family planning. Duties include the provision of the full range of reproductive health care services for women, men and teens.

Must have excellent clinical & customer service skills.

Development and Community Relations Coordinator (Maui)

As an integral part of the Development team, the Coordinator on Maui will cultivate, steward, and expand the relationships between PPHI and its donors and community partners.  It is the purpose of this individual to assist in the building and strengthening of relationships with donors and donor prospects and support development related fundraising strategies and initiatives.

The major output for this position is the establishment and curation of a Maui-island specific Advisory Board that will assist PPHI to increase awareness of our services, build a pipeline for our larger Board of Directors and establish one major fundraising event annually.

DUTIES:

  • Organize donor cultivation and stewardship activities
  • Work with Director of Development to identify new prospects for cultivation; manage prospecting and research activities.
  • Attend meetings with community boards; represent PPHI at community organizations’ events
  • Work to strengthen community partnerships and connections with individuals
  • Establish at least one Island specific fundraising event and assist with other misc events
  • Cultivate prospects for island specific Advisory Council
  • Provide assistance with coordinating and disseminating communications throughout Kahului and Maui.
  • Support Development activities as needed, including annual giving, donor engagement, fund/friend raising events and other development efforts
  • Identify cultural challenges and/or island specific attitudes regarding PPHI
  • Coordinate with vendors, facilities personnel, and others, as needed.

The Coordinator position may or may not be based in Kahului, as this is a home based position.
