GYT 2014 - Get Yourself Talking, Get Yourself Tested

GYT is a national campaign partnership between Planned Parenthood, MTV, Kaiser Family Foundation, the Centers for Disease Control and other organizations in order to promote sexual health and address the high rates of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) among people under the age of 25.

According to the CDC, half of the 20 million STDs contracted each year occur among individuals who are under 25, although they only represent one-quarter of the sexually active population.

Protecting yourself when you are sexually active isn’t just about preventing pregnancy, it is about keeping yourself healthy. STDs like Gonorrhea and Chlamydia don’t always have symptoms. So, if you are sexually active, make it part of your annual health check-up to get tested for STDs.

April is the perfect time to start this habit of good prevention! Planned Parenthood Arizona has special discounted pricing for testing during the month.
- $100 for a WOMAN to get a gonorrhea and Chlamydia screen, birth control consultation and a pack of pills.
- $50 for an INDIVIDUAL getting a gonorrhea and Chlamydia screen (including visit)
- $100 for a COUPLE getting a gonorrhea and Chlamydia screen (including visit)
