Who We Are
The purpose of the Friends of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest (PPPSW) is to increase awareness of the agency’s mission and programs. Members are encouraged to take part in fundraising and friend-raising efforts, as well as volunteering.
The Friends fundraise through a variety of interesting events. Proceeds from these events go directly to programs and services at Planned Parenthood.
Since its inception in 1978, the Friends have donated funds to support many programs, including a clinic redesign for better customer service; Education & Training programs for local middle school students; the Teen Success program, and youth attendance at Teen Capitol Day in Sacramento.

The Friends are always looking for new members and partners who share their enthusiasm for healthy women, men, teens and families! What does a membership offer?
- A variety of exciting volunteer positions are available for Friends members, including monthly volunteer night, community events, and advocacy programs.
- Events include the well-attended PPPSW Anniversary Dinner as well as additional gatherings throughout the year. See calendar below for details.
- In addition, there are informational trips to various areas in our service region including Baja California, Mexico.
