Peer Education Program (12 one-hour sessions)
This semester-long training program trains teens (ages 15 to 19) to become a positive influence on their middle or high school campuses and leaders in the ongoing efforts to prevent unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. Peer Educators perform service projects on campus and in the community, and meet monthly with state-certified health educators in Orange and San Bernardino counties to learn about healthy relationships, teen violence, body image, and sexuality, reproductive health, and more. Select Peer Educators have the opportunity to attend the annual Peer Leadership Summit (hosted by Planned Parenthood Federation of America, funding permitting) and participate in other local activities.
