Did you know …
many military families are eligible for WIC benefits, including:
- food checks
- nutrition classes
- breastfeeding supplies and support
- referrals for prenatal care, health insurance, family planning services, social and community services, and more.
Planned Parenthood WIC is proud to serve our local military families. If you’re a pregnant or breastfeeding woman or have children under the age of 5, you may qualify for services!
First, see if you’re eligible. When calculating your family’s income, WIC looks at you and/or your spouse’s Basic Pay, as well as certain Pays and Allowances. For example, WIC does not include BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing).
Then, talk to a WIC specialist about what military pay counts as income and if your family can qualify.
