Nearly 300 supporters attended Health.Women.Trust. -- our 2011 Annual Luncheon -- and helped raise more than $105,000 for local community health and education programs.

 

The trust-themed event featured nationally renowned legal expert and commentator Laurie Levenson, whose keynote speech addressed “Misplaced Trust: Are the Courts Protecting Women’s Health?
 



LevensonLAURIE L. LEVENSON is Professor of Law and the David W. Burcham Chair in Ethical Advocacy at Loyola Law School where she teaches criminal law, criminal procedure, ethics, anti-terrorism, and evidence. While a federal prosecutor, Laurie Levenson tried a wide variety of federal criminal cases, including violent narcotics offenses, white collar crimes, immigration and public corruption cases.

Professor Levenson has provided legal commentary on several high profiles cases, including President Clinton's impeachment trial, the Enron prosecutions, the prosecution of Martha Stewart, the Rodney King beating trial, the Menendez Brothers murder trials, the O.J. Simpson and Scott Peterson murder trials, and the Michael Jackson child molestation trial. Laurie Levenson has been quoted in more than 10,000 newspaper articles and has appeared on national and international television. She has worked as an expert legal consultant for CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN and NPR.
