With big changes happening in health care, are you wondering what the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) means for you? Here's the answer:
Planned Parenthood of New York City will take care of you no matter what!
We have Entitlement Counselors who will help you get public insurance coverage or financial help for the services we offer. If you are eligible, our Counselors can help you enroll in Medicaid, Child Health Plus, or the Medicaid Family Planning Benefit Program. If you are not eligible for these public insurance programs, our health centers may still be able to offer you financial help, depending on your income and the services you need. To make an appointment with a Counselor, please call (212) 965-7000 or 1 (800) 230-PLAN.
We can also refer you to “New York State of Health,” which is the Official Health Plan Marketplace where people can enroll in the new insurance plans that are available through the Affordable Care Act. The aim of this federal law is to make health insurance and health care affordable for many more Americans. For example, the health care law means that you will be able to get birth control and some related visits with no co-pays! To learn more about the Marketplace, go to nystateofhealth.ny.gov or call toll-free 1 (855) 355-5777.
