Volunteer and Intern

Thank you for your interest in volunteering or interning for Planned Parenthood of New York City. Activists

The Planned Parenthood of New York City Activist Council is a group of committed activists that meets once a month to get in-depth information about current issues and work on various advocacy projects and events. Beyond the monthly meetings, the level of time commitment is up to each individual.

Activist Council members can join the workgroups below, or they can participate in the Council on a project-by-project basis:

Sex Ed Group  Plans educational events and forums for the community to advocate for comprehensive sex education and increase reproductive and sexual health awareness
Fundraising Group Plans 2-3 fundraising events a year to support the health care, educational, and advocacy services of Planned Parenthood of New York City
Political Action Group Organizes phone banks, rallies, letter-writing campaigns, and lobby visits to support Planned Parenthood's legislative agenda. In addition, the Political Action Group raises money for PPNYC's political arm, the Planned Parenthood of New York City Action Fund, by hosting house parties.
Field Group - Distributes educational information regarding PPNYC's health care services, legislative work, and political activities in the process of signing up new supporters throughout the city at health fairs, community events, concerts, and festivals.

For questions or to become a member of the PPNYC Activist Council, contact us at activists@ppnyc.org.

You can also sign up as an E-Activist by joining our Action Network!
