Male Health Services

Planned Parenthood of New York City provides services for males at all of our health centers during specific hours. To find out what these hours are for the health center closest to you, type your zip code in the “Find a Health Center” box at the top of this page.  To make an appointment, call (212) 965-7000 or (800) 230-PLAN.  The health services that we offer to males are:
  •    Testing and Treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)

Protect yourself and your partner by getting tested and treated. Men often have no symptoms of sexually transmitted infections. PPNYC offers urine STI testing and treatment to men at all of our centers and on our mobile medical units.

  •     HIV Testing and Counseling

You can schedule an appointment at the PPNYC health center nearest to you and receive confidential HIV education, counseling, and testing.

  •     Condoms

Condoms and spermicide are the only forms of birth control available to men besides sterilization. Condoms are only effective if used every time you have sex. Latex condoms are also the most effective way to decrease your risk of spreading STIs and HIV. Condoms are available free of charge at all PPNYC health centers.

  •      Male Exams

Males should have a yearly physical that screens for testicular cancer and STIs.  Anyone who has one or more of the STI warning symptoms listed below should visit a health care provider as soon as possible to get tested for STIs.

  •      Referrals to Other Health and Counseling Services If Needed
