Annual Gynecological (GYN) Exam

An annual GYN exam is a yearly reproductive health checkup that involves:
  • a routine breast exam
  • a pelvic exam including a Pap test (which is a test for cancerous cells on the cervix)
  • tests for sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia and gonorrhea.

In addition, we discuss birth control options and HIV counseling and testing with patients who come for GYN exams.

If you’ve already had an annual exam, give us a call to talk about your birth control options. To reach PPNYC or to schedule an appointment at one of our health centers, call (212) 965-7000 or (800) 230-PLAN.
