Women's Reproductive Health Program

Standard
Participants will gain an understanding of the female reproductive system and be able to identify practices to keep their bodies healthy.

Rationale
1 out of 3 women has not had a gynecological exam. Whether young or old, married or single, sexually active or not, good gynecological care is key. Every year pap tests save the lives of 16,000 women by detecting cervical cancer at its earliest stages. Gynecological exams also include clinical breast exams and instruction on breast self-examination, which is essential in the early detection of breast cancer. Through education, women can overcome obstacles such as fear that prevent them from accessing regular reproductive health care.
