Decision Making Program



Standard
Participants will demonstrate an understanding of the decision making process.

Rationale
Many individuals make decisions they feel uncomfortable, scared, or anxious about. Passive, impulsive, and pressured decision making is often unsuccessful and can have dangerous consequences. Through education, individuals can learn to make decisions they are comfortable with.

Performance Indicators
As a result of Decision Making Education, participants will:

  • Assess how they make decisions
  • Identify factors that influence decision making
  • Discuss the consequences of making poor, hasty, or unplanned decisions
  • Understand an ideal decision making process
  • Practice making decisions using an ideal decision making process
  • Understand that decision making is a skill that can be practiced and improved upon
