Abortion Program
Standard Participants will demonstrate an understanding of reproductive rights including abortion and the processes that are involved in the decision to terminate a pregnancy.
Rationale Women have turned to abortion to terminate unwanted pregnancy throughout the ages. On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court ruled that a woman has the right to end a pregnancy, in accordance with the United States Constitution. Until this day, abortion was illegal and in many instances unsafe. Abortion in this country is a safe, legal reproductive choice.
