Education & Training

Our educators provide group educational programs throughout the community. Locations include, among others, schools, colleges, faith-based organizations, PTAs, alternative school settings, youth and adult criminal justice settings, shelters, treatment facilities and social service settings.

The curriculum is designed based on the needs of the participants, and new topics can be added as needed.

Parent education and professional training programs for professionals who work with youth & young adults can also be scheduled. Program topics and approaches are customized to the needs of the group -- and they deal with all aspects of sexuality and sexual health.

TeenAge Communication Theatre (TACT) is a vital part of PPNT's education program, that allows Dallas-area students to perform peer-to-peer outreach on the issues most important to teens. This award-winning group of Dallas-area high school students become experts on every topic that is difficult to talk about with parents and adults: sex, sexually transmitted infections, drugs, alcohol, dating violence, self-esteem, pregnancy and homosexuality. The students are educated by local medical and social service educators in order to have state-of-the-art knowledge of their subjects.

The troupe celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2009, a milestone which includes hundreds of students, thousands of performances – and 25 years of theatre that can change lives.

PPNT also sponsors a loca support group for those living with herpes.
