Our History

Planned Parenthood of North Central Florida (PPNCF) has been providing high-quality, affordable reproductive health care for women, men and teens since 1974. Our clinics in Gainesville and Tallahassee provide quality healthcare services to over 12,000 Floridians each year.  Our educational programs reached over 5,000 community members in 2007.

What We Do

PPNCF is committed to providing high quality, affordable reproductive health care services to the women, men and teens in our community, medically accurate and age appropriate educational programs, and providing a voice for Floridians who believe that everyone deserves the freedom of choice and ensuring that their voices are heard in State Legislature and the halls of Congress.

How We Do It

• By providing the necessary compassionate and affordable reproductive health care services that ensure the life-long sexual health and well being of men, women and teens regardless of age, race, sexuality, disability, ethnicity, national origin, marital status, gender identity and expression, faith, sexual orientation or income.
• By providing medically accurate, age-appropriate sex education through lectures and training programs on sexuality and reproductive health. We also have an extensive resource library, which is available to anyone seeking information.
• By meticulously monitoring public policy and ensuring that it incorporates the best interests of our patients along with our mission. We now face the toughest battle in our history of protecting our right to access all reproductive health care services and information.
