Multicultural Education Project

Through the Multicultural Education Program, our multilingual staff work with local community-based organizations to reach out to the Latino community and other ethnic groups.

According to the most recent census, in the past decade Long Island's minority population has surged by 56% and now accounts for nearly one-quarter of the total population. In response to this growth, PPNC has made addressing the unique needs of our diverse communities a priority in both our health care services and educational programs.

Multicultural Education Program workshops seek to educate participants about a wide range of reproductive health issues, promote preventive health care and encourage responsible decision-making. In addition, all materials are carefully adapted to be sensitive to cultural differences.
