COMMUNITY OUTREACH

PPNC is available to provide outreach at community events and health fairs. In addition, through our mobile unit, the Plan Van, we bring confidential information about reproductive health issues to teens and adults throughout Nassau County. We also offer programs that target specific populations, such as minorities, at-risk men and teenagers from Roosevelt and Hempstead.

What is Outreach?

During outreach activities, PPNC's educators distribute brochures, fact sheets and give-a-ways, answer questions and talk to people one-on-one about family planning, sexual health, sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS. All materials include information about where to access low-cost reproductive health care.

Let Us Bring the Outreach to You!

The Plan Van is PPNC's mobile education and medical unit. You can arrange to have the Plan Van visit your school or community-based organization to provide on-the-spot HIV testing and counseling, or outreach about reproductive and sexual health.

The Plan Van is also available to provide express clinic services, such as birth control, pregnancy tests, emergency contraception and sexually transmitted infection testing, on college campuses in Nassau County.
