The Planned Parenthood of Montana Teen Council, a peer education group, is a leadership group goes to high schools in Billings, Helena, Great Falls, Missoula and the surrounding areas to educate about important teen health and sexuality issues. Hours count for volunteer community service. If you would like to gain valuable experience that will be beneficial for a career in education, medicine, law, or politics, request an application from your local Planned Parenthood Health Center. Applicants must be in high school for the 2013-2014 school year.
Planned Parenthood’s Teen Council is a peer education program designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of high school youth, promoting responsible choices and healthy lifestyles. Opportunities for participants include but are not limited to development of leadership skills, networking, public speaking, teen theatre, community involvement, tabling at health fairs, and resume building. Thanks to many generous donors, each year a college scholarship is awarded to a deserving member of our Teen Board across the state.
