The new health care law, also known as Obamacare, says that by next year all Americans must have health insurance. In the past, insurance has been way too expensive for many people. But now, most people who havenít been able to afford insurance will get financial help to buy a plan that meets their needs and covers a wide variety of care and services, like birth control and related visits at no costóbut also other prescriptions, doctor visits, hospitalization, and maternity care.
Starting October 1, people can begin enrolling in the new, affordable plans with coverage going into effect on January 1, 2014.
