From the desk of Frank Rich:

In the decades-long battle for equal rights for women in all areas of American life, Planned Parenthood has long been one of the most courageous, reliable and eloquent voices on behalf of women’s health and reproductive choices, as well as an exemplary provider of health services that directly and indirectly benefit all Americans. I first learned of Planned Parenthood in the pre-Roe era from my mother, an avid supporter of the Washington, D.C. chapter throughout her adult lifetime, and have been a stalwart believer in its mission ever since.
