Prenatal Care

Preparing for the birth of a child can be one of life's great experiences. It's best to start preparing before you become pregnant. If that is not possible, you still have about nine months to prepare during pregnancy. Begin as soon as you know you're pregnant.

The key is taking good care of your own health. It will help ensure a healthy pregnancy- from embryo, to fetus, to the birth of your child. The healthier you are, the stronger both of you are likely to be.

Here's our best advice about prenatal care to prepare for having a healthy baby:
See your clinician regularly.

  • Learn how to handle the discomforts of pregnancy.
  • Make sure you have the right tests and treatments.
  • Learn the warning signs that something may be wrong.
