The Grosse Pointe War Memorial will once again be offering a sophisticated shopping experience Thursday, Oct. 16 through Sunday, Oct 19, with nearly 30 vendors from around the United States showcasing their unique merchandise at the 2008 Holiday Mart. This ever-popular annual event supports the many important prenatal health and community-based education programs of Planned Parenthood Mid and South Michigan. Hard-working Holiday Mart chairpersons are Jennifer Mitchell, Gloria Kotas and Sarah Kreisler, who have been busy the past year finding just the right mix of high quality and unusual merchandise that will delight the shopper in us all.
Opening with a Gala Patron Party from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, Oct. 16, guests will get the first chance to shop for the perfect gifts for everyone on their holiday shopping lists. This gala evening will feature delicious hors d’ oeuvres and beverages donated by local restaurants.
When doors open to the public on Friday morning, Oct. 17, guests will be treated to a shoppers dream! Vendors offering incredible and unique gift items including: jewelry and accessories, gourmet food items, boutique wear, fine paper products and linens to name a few.
