Cocktails for a Cause

Events are planned and hosted by PPMET's Young Professionals, a volunteer group of supporters aged 20's to 50's. Just after work, the best way to stay connected to PPMET and meet new people in the community at the same time.

Our Cocktails for a Cause happy hours have been a part of our fundraising repertoire for over a decade.  Premiere bars and restaurants in both Nashville and Knoxville have graciously hosted PPMET -- restaurants like Bar23, Hair of the Dog, Mad Donna's, The Mad Platter, Ombi, Suzy Wong's House of Yum, The Tomato Head, and The Public House.  We are always on the lookout for new places and faces, so if you have some ideas or would like to be considered for the Young Professionals, contact advocacy@ppmet!

Given the recent, and unrelenting, attacks on Planned Parenthood from our state legislature all the way up to Congress, PPMET has been working hard to ensure that reproductive rights are protected in our community and in our nation.  Our continued advocacy efforts are critical to keeping our doors open for the thousands of women, men, and teens who rely on our services each year.

By fundraising with Cocktails for a Cause, the Young Professionals are integral to the work and mission of PPMET  especially given the recent statewide defunding of Planned Parentood.  The Tennesee state legislature and the Governor have failed the women of Tennessee by passing and signing a budget that effectively blocks Planned Parenthod from receiving Federal Title X Family Planning funding (approximately $350,000 per year for PPMET).

Now is the time for you to get involved!
