Consider three critical facts when choosing menus:
1. Sugar, Sodium and Fat content- large amount of these ingredients shows lots of calories that may satisfy you appetite and give you quick energy but not lots of nutrient value.
2 Portion Size- this tells you how large the portion of food is or how many servings it contains.
3. Calories- this tells you how many calories the portion of food contains. For example, if your goal is to eat 2600 calories per day, and you go to McDonald’s and order a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese (760 calories), large fries (500 calories) and the Chocolate McCaffe Shake (880 Calories), than you have eaten almost all of your daily calories in one meal.
