Hearty Beef Stew

Serving size: 4-6 people

Meal cost: $ 15

Cooking time: 75 minutes- less time if you use pre-cut frozen vegetables.

 package of stewing  beef (pre-cut into cubes)
 large red potatoes
 cups of chopped broccoli
 carrots, washed and cut into small round pieces
 1 celery stalked, washed and diced
 1 small red onion- diced
 3 fresh garlic cubes, diced
 1 cup of red cooking wine
 1 3-ounce can of tomato paste
 2 cups of water
 ¼ cup of olive oil

 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
 1 teaspoon Cumin
 1 teaspoon Turmeric
 1 teaspoon Ginger powder
 ¼ teaspoon Cayenne pepper
 ½ teaspoon Sea Salt

Cooking Directions:

In large soup pot, add olive oil and all seasonings. Add beef, simmer and brown beef on all sides. Once meat is browned, add all vegetables, tomato paste, cooking wine and water. Stir a lot. Cook on a low flame stirring occasionally for about 1 hour. Stew is done when the potatoes and carrots are soft.
