Water may not seem as exciting a beverage as soda or juice, but it is a key ingredient for your diet that should be consumed everyday.

Here are five great reasons to drink water everyday:

1. Water keeps us alive. You can live for about a month without food, but only about a week without water.

2. Water helps you maintain healthy body weight by increasing metabolism and regulating your appetite. Often when you think you feel hungry you are really thirsty.

3. Water helps increase your energy. The most common cause of daytime fatigue is actually mild dehydration.

4. Water improves your health by flushing out wastes and bacteria that can cause disease.

5. Water is the main way that vitamins and nutrients get circulated around your body.
